HOT, Garden, Writing #mmromance #cool #amwriting

Good morning friends and readers! *sips coffee* . Summer hasn't quite arrived, but it's making it's intent known with a vengeance. The temperatures here have been in the high 80's low 90's for a few days, and my AC unit is letting me know it doesn't appreciate the extra work! Makes you wonder how our ancestors survived without AC, doesn't it?
Despite my overly dramatic concerns, I'm not going to melt, so I am attempting to make the best of this situation. The best of it appears to be that my garden is loving the heat. We built container gardens as an experiment this year- 6 4 foot square boxes- so its a tiny garden, but no weeding- which my knees appreciate- and not a lot of room. If they continue to do well, we'll double the number of boxes next year. I have tomatoes- several already fruiting-, zucchini, and three different types of peppers. The tomatoes alone will save me a fortune at the grocery store. If we get a good crop I'll be canning like mad in a few weeks. I have plans for spaghetti sauce, tomato soup, salsa... And diced tomato blends. Last time we grew tomatoes I made a bell pepper, tomato, onion blend with Italian spices and olive oil that was fabulous in pasta dishes.
Anyone out there put up their own tomatoes? I enjoy canning as it reminds me of my childhood, but also, food tastes so much fresher! We'll be eating plenty of tomatoes right off the vine, too. Nothing beats that flavor.
Update to writing work: It's been a while. I've been experiencing a serious case of writer's block, exacerbated by the fact that I had a B-12 deficiency. That created a great deal of confusion, exhaustion, and was scary as heck. Have been on supplements for a month now and things are looking up. My symptoms are reduced, and I actually have energy and ideas. So, yes. I'm working again. :) My current projects are Parkerburg #4 with Havan Fellows, and the seventh book in my ongoing series A Rake in London. We're about half done with the Parkerburg book, and I'm about 1/3 into the Rake story. This one is a tricky one, trying to balance Gavin's uh...earthy desires with his growing awareness that he really only loves Marcus. Hope to have that done the end of this month. Oh... and the fourth Truth or Dare book is due for re-release at the end of the month, too.

Those are my goals, at any rate.  Meanwhile, remember I have a couple of short stories available as free reads at All Romance and Smashwords. These were both previously published stories, and I really wanted to get them back out to readers as freebies in appreciation of all the support that you've given me over the years. The response has been overwhelming! Thank you so much to all of the readers who have already downloaded Nothing to Forgive and The Captain's Cabin. Both have earned Silver Best Seller Stars at All Romance ebooks.

Nothing to Forgive  is a best seller in three categories: Drama, Contemporary and Gay, and The Captain's Cabin also earned Silver Stars for Gay Erotica and Historical Erotica.
If you haven't already picked up a copy, get yours today.
Thank you again!
